Title: Fate
Author:
vamp926
Pairing: Booth/Brennan
Rating: G
Spoilers: None
Summary: This is my first Bones fic, ever. I mean, I've written fic before, but this is my first Bones fic. Just a little drabble I came up with at work, nothing special. I don't think it's more than 300 words. But, seeing as this is my first Bones fic, please be gentle with your reviews! :D

It was all his fault. She had stormed out, mad at him. She hadn’t been paying attention to the traffic on the street. He heard the squeal of tires against pavement and turned just in time to see the car make contact with her body. Horror and panic washed through him as he watched her collapse to the ground. His body automatically started moving towards her before his mind had time to process what was happening. He reached her in a record time and pulled her into his arms. People around them were talking in low hushed voices and on their cells with 911, but his attention was solely on her. Her eyes fluttered open and locked with his.
“I feel funny,” she whispered.
“I know, but we’re going to get you help,” he replied, pulling her closer. He could hear sirens off in the distance. His hand was starting to feel warm so he pulled it away from her head to fins it covered in blood. Now that he was aware of it, he saw the large puddle of blood on the ground underneath them. That was when he knew the ambulance was never going to make it. Tears pooled in his eyes.
“I’m so sorry,” he whispered to her as he pulled her closer to him again. “So sorry.”
“I’m not mad,” she whispered back with labored breaths.
“I love you, Tempe, I always have,” he said.
“And I love you, Booth. I always have as well,” she whispered and then her breathing stopped and life that was Temperance Brennan was over.
